Composition Of Marble Granite Countertops
Marble granite countertops are an unique piece of nature’s natural wonder given to us. These countertops are widely used for kitchen remodeling and refurnishing other areas of the house such as flooring bathroom tiles, constructing staircases, fireplaces, and others.
Lots of people mistake marble granite countertops with marble, but they are different. The main reason why this countertop continues to enjoy popularity is because of its durability, which makes it one of the most cost effective products.
Let us get to the composition of granite marble.

You would know that marble are porous substances but here we are talking about marble granite countertops. These countertops have large concentration of granites only thereby they are non-porous. Granite countertops are resistant to heat but you should still be careful by not placing piping hot containers and pans on naked surface. Otherwise, the seal may begin to erode.
Similarly, remember to apply sealant every 6-7 month to prevent it from scratches and seepage of liquid. Installing marble granite countertops do not require much time. Once you place the order and indicate the design, the company hired will mould the slab into the chosen design. Within few days, it will be at your doorstep waiting for installation. Some people also prefer to do the designing themselves on slabs and tiles.
Words of caution- unless you are a professional in this field, think twice before going DIY. After all, you do not to waste precious stones for any flimsy mistakes.
